| The River Street Gallery was established in 1986 as Interior Graphics. The business, originally a poster shop, progressively emphasized archival framing and conservation of fine art. In February of 1993 the space was expanded with ongoing improvements including; new design and gallery showroom, display walls and cabinets, and equipment upgrading. A turn from manufacturing occurred in late 1995 creating an exclusive focus on fine art and hand craftsman ship. Studio art production and membership in the American Institute of Conservation were initiated in 1998. The turn of the millinium initiated the first art exhibit at the River Street Gallery with an historic collection spanning fifty years entitled "A Century of Art: Carl Lewis Pappe (1900-1998)." The close of 2001 brought the addition of Gallery Two for new works by local artists; Bryn Del Mano, Lorenzo Moreno, Roberto Montanez, and the "Pointique Universe" by John Burgers. In 2005 the business moved to our new studio location at 125-D Post Street (two blocks north of Costco) with the new name Artistic Framing. Following eighteen years on River Street, the Gallery is now "virtual" at riverstreetgallery.com. The Museum Of Art and History presents "Santa Cruz Artists Response to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk" July 13 through September 2, 2007 exhibiting the 24 x 60 in. oil on canvas by Robert Watson "The Old Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk."
